We take health and safety very seriously

Incidents happen in companies of all types and size, and the addressing of unsafe acts must form a major part of any organisation’s safety management and development strategy.

J M Hill consider that risk management, safety leadership, and human awareness are of paramount importance in the safe management of staff and the tasks they undertake.

We recognise that we are ultimately responsible for preventing injury and ill health to our employees, members of the public, clients and any other persons affected by our work activities. Our priority therefore, is to promote health and safety from Director level downwards in order to create an excellent safety culture.

In order to meet our moral obligation and to remain compliant with legislation we have retained the services of a reputable Health and Safety company which provides an appointed consultant to J M Hill. In doing so we do not abdicate our responsibility but simply delegate the monitoring, maintenance and associated tasks to a dedicated professional.

Additionally, we ensure our suppliers are Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) accredited.  FORS is a voluntary accreditation scheme encompassing all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations for vehicle operators.
